As an Instacart+ member, you can favorite any shopper who previously shopped and delivered an order for you. You can also schedule orders with your favorite shoppers once they submit their availability. 

Note, not all shoppers are available as favorite shoppers.

At this time, the “favorite a shopper” feature is only available to select Instacart+ members in the Instacart app. Check back soon as we plan to expand this feature.

Add a favorite shopper

There are a couple ways to add a shopper to your favorites.

To add a favorite shopper—

  1. After rating your order and giving your shopper 5 stars, you can tap Add as favorite when asked if you want this shopper to shop future orders.
  2. You can also add favorite shoppers through your order history who delivered to you previously—
    • Tap Orders in the lower-left corner of the app’s homepage.
    • Select the order that was shopped by the shopper you want to favorite.
    • Tap the heart icon next to the shopper’s name to add them as a favorite.
      • Heart icon becomes filled in once favorited.

Remove a favorite shopper

You can remove a shopper from your favorites through your order history.

  1. Tap Orders in the lower-left corner of the app’s homepage.
  2. Select the order shopped by the shopper you previously favorited.
  3. Tap the heart icon next to the shopper’s name to remove them as a favorite.
    • Heart icon becomes unfilled once removed from your favorites.

Shoppers won’t know if you remove them from your favorites.

Schedule a favorite shopper

You can schedule a shopper during checkout in-app—

  1. Tap Choose a delivery option.
  2. Tap Schedule with a favorite shopper.
  3. Select a delivery time.

We’ll schedule a shopper from your favorites list based on their availability. If you reschedule your order, we may schedule a shopper not included in your favorites list.

If you can’t select a favorite shopper during checkout, it may be because the shopper(s) you favorited haven’t provided their availability yet.
